# Email login

Outline does not support password-based login (we recommend [Passkeys](/doc/passkeys-juOL99qxIA)!), however email login may be used. Email authentication can be enabled in **Settings → Authentication → Sign In**

When selecting **Continue with Email** as the login option, an email will be sent to your inbox containing a login link or a code. You can either use the link to log in or copy the code provided in the email and paste it into the “Enter code” field on the login page.

## SSO

Note, that accounts which are linked to SSO such as Google Workspace will not be able to login with email magic link as it would potentially bypass 2FA restrictions in place at the SSO provider.
