Collections

It is also possible to export an entire collection, access “Export…” from the “…” menu on any collection and choose from Markdown, HTML, or JSON as output formats. It is not possible to export an entire collection as PDF at this time.

JSON format will output your documents as structured data, which is great for programmatically importing into another system. This is also the best option for moving data between Outline instances.

Workspace

Admins can also export all collections in a workspace under Settings → Export. The same options are available as exporting a collection. As this operation can take some time you can opt into receiving a notification when the export completes.
