# File uploads

Files such as `pdf`, `zip`, and other binary files can also be uploaded as file attachments. A preview of the file name, type, and size will be shown. Images can *also* be uploaded explicitly as a file attachment, for example…

# Inserting

You have several options to add file attachments to a document:

* Drag a file (not image or video) from your desktop
* Type `/file` to trigger a file uploader

# PDF embeds

PDF files, specifically, can be shown as an embedded preview in the document.
