Revision history
As documents are edited, Outline will automatically keep a record of revision history. At most, a version is recorded for every 5 minutes of editing.
One limitation to be aware of is that the version will be attributed to the last user that edited the document within that 5 minute period even if multiple editors were present, we hope to improve this in the future.
Restoring old versions
To access a documents history click on the last updated timestamp below the title, access “History” from the document menu, or search “History” in the command menu. The history sidebar shows all of the versions and related events.
You can click on and individual version to see the diff of changes and restore that version if required from the menu.

How to restore a version
Note that restoring a version will create another version and not rollback history to this point in time. In this way it is a non-destructive action.
Naming revisions
Note that this functionality is not available in the community edition
It is also possible to choose a custom name for a revision if you’d like to mark a point in time more clearly. On any revision click on “…” and choose the option from the menu.
